What a MESS!!

Well, what can I say?? I think the pictures do the talking really.....we are (well, hubbie is) working very hard on this house to try to get it ready for the first Open Inspection, which at this stage is set for Sunday March 13th. It was going to be on the 6th of March, but we have just
SOOO much to do still, that we had to put it back a week. *SIGH*
The "kids" have all helped heaps, but now we are at the stage where hubbie just needs to paint, and sort, and clean, and more painting, and more sorting, and then tidy up.

Then we have to CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN!!!
I am busy washing curtains, as hubbie does the painting, and then he cleans the windows before the clean curtains go back up.He is going to take an extra 3 days off work next week to get some more done, and then next weekend he has quite a big job to do - he has to rip up the "old" carpet - it is actually only 2 years old, but someone ....err *cough* err... chose the wrong colour (CREAM) and it is now more like a motley cream & brown colour - SO poor hubbie has to move everything out of the lounge room and the main bedroom, and polish the floor boards. We priced putting down new carpet, but just cant justify spending that much money at this point. Especially as we have so many things to get for the new house. We need fencing, and a driveway, and flooring, and blinds, and curtains, and paving, and a pergola, and a new washing machine, and, and, and.... well - you get the picture!!
So we really need to sell this old house ASAP!!
Preferably to someone on the FIRST Open Inspection, with CASH, wanting a QUICK settlement!! Now really, that is not too much to ask, is it?? So any prayers along that line you can spare would be great thanks!

Paying two mortgages is getting more and more difficult, as the new house gets closer to being finished the mortgage payments on it get higher - so we really need to sell this one YESTERDAY!!! Why, oh why, didnt we start working on it earlier?? I hear you ask.
Weelll....hubbie and I are both procrastinators, and we really thought there wasnt that much to do here, but once you tidy one bit of the garden, it shows up the rest looking daggy, and once you paint one bit of the house, it shows up the rest looking daggy etc. etc.
So, here we are, IN A BIG MESS!! I am hating all the mess, but I am counting our blessings and thinking that we are TOTALLY BLESSED - all I have to do is to think about those poor people in New Zealand, or the poor people still trying to clean up in Queensland.
Or even think about how fortunate we are that we actually HAVE a house to live in, let alone getting a brand new one. There are some people in the world who have nothing, so who am I to complain?
So, I thought you might get a laugh out of the photos, and my post might make you think about your life too, and make you just stop for a moment and be thankful for what you have, and give your family and your friends a big hug, and tell them that you love them.
Until next time, Hugs n Blessings from Sue xx

  1. You may be in a mess right now, and hating, but I'm sure that when you think of why you are doing this, it makes you feel happy?
