Well, hi everyone - hope you are all well. Our curtains and blinds have FINALLY arrived, and were installed last Saturday. Boy! What a difference they make to the feel of the house! It is so much quieter inside, and it feels more "homey" and I am absolutely thrilled to bits with them!!
It was quite difficult really, as I chose what I wanted ages ago, before the house was finished.
I met the custom made curtain lady from Spotlight here one day, and we went through all the things that I wanted, and she had lots of samples with her for me to choose from - it was fun, but difficult too as I had to have a real "vision" of what I wanted. She was a great help too, but of course in the end it had to be what I wanted.
I got a great deal with Spotlight, and we were able to just pay a deposit to keep them at that special price. So it was really great to see them go up last Saturday. I will try to upload some photos of what has been happening with the house to show you the changes.
I hope I dont sound like I am "showing off" about what I have, as that is not my intention - I am just so thrilled and happy to finally have this new house that I am excited to share what has been happening. I do realise though that material possessions are not important in the grand scheme of things, and that they will all turn to dust eventually.
Our health, our family, and our friends are what is really important in our lives, and I have to remind myself not to lose sight of that too. It is all too easy to get caught up in the "things" we are surrounded by, dont you think?
So, although this post is telling you that I have new curtains, I also want to tell you that I appreciate and love my family and my friends and I am so grateful that you have stopped by to read my blog too!
It is 12 weeks today since my knee surgery and I am still not able to drive - so I am still living a fairly isolated life......hubbie has to put up with me talking non stop to him when he gets home, as he is the only person I see on a regular basis!! ....lol.... I think he has learned how to have "selective hearing" - but the main thing is that we are happy, and we both enjoy sitting and just watching tv together at night. I lead a blessed life, and I am thankful to God for what He has given me. My health will eventually get better, I just need to be more patient.
So, "Hi!" from me to whoever you are, and I pray that you too may lead a blessed life, filled with love, laughter, family & friends. If you are searching.... reach out to God, as He is always there, just waiting for you to call on Him. He changed my life dramatically for the better, once I gave my heart to Him, and He can do that for you too. Hugs n Blessings from Sue xx

Woohoo. I am so looking forward to seeing some photos.
ReplyDeleteNo, you don't sound like you're showing off, you sound like someone who is so thrilled and grateful for what you have that you just have to share that feeling, and I for one am really enjoying your happiness.
